Learn how to download, install, log in, and manage your Ledger® Live Desktop and App securely.
The Ledger® Live App is an all-in-one platform that enables cryptocurrency holders to manage, track, and secure their assets directly through their Ledger® hardware wallet. Whether you’re using the Ledger® Live Desktop version or the mobile application, it provides a seamless interface to monitor your crypto portfolio, perform transactions, and safeguard your digital investments with industry-grade encryption and security.
Downloading the Ledger® Live App is simple and straightforward. Head to the official Ledger® website and select your operating system — Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, or Android. Avoid third-party links to protect your device from phishing or malware. Once downloaded, follow the on-screen instructions to install and set up your Ledger® device connection.
To log in to your Ledger® Live Wallet, connect your Ledger® hardware wallet to your computer or mobile device. Unlock it using your PIN, and open the Ledger® Live App. The app will automatically recognize your device, allowing you to manage your accounts securely. For extra protection, verify all addresses directly on your hardware device before confirming any transaction.
If your Ledger® device is lost or damaged, you can recover your wallet using the 24-word recovery phrase. This phrase restores access to your funds on any compatible Ledger® device. Ledger® does not manage 2FA codes for exchange accounts; you must reset 2FA through the specific third-party platform you use. Never disclose your recovery phrase to anyone — even official support.
Ledger® and Trezor are distinct hardware wallets with unique ecosystems. They cannot be interchanged or used with one another. To transfer assets between the two, use supported exchanges or import your recovery phrase only if compatible, following the vendor’s verified migration process.
If persistent errors occur such as repeated connection failures, software crashes, or unrecognized devices, visit the official Ledger® Help Center. Only use verified links provided by Ledger® to prevent phishing. The Help Center provides updated guides, troubleshooting steps, and access to official customer support.
